Lack of Information Regarding Adam Lanza's Medical History Did Not Stop CT Politicians From Reforming Mental Health Laws

It has been more than six months since the shootings at Sandy Hook elementary school in Newtown, CT.  In response to the event, Connecticut politicians have passed a controversial 139-page gun-control bill, SB-1160, that requires gun registration, doubles the penalties on firearms, requires a permit to acquire ammunition, reforms mental health laws, and much more.  Schools across the country even want to change building designs, and have increased security, because of the CT school shooting.  The problem is that the public has not been given any credible confirmations, or evidence, for any of the inconsistent information, that has been presented in regards to this case, to make a rational response to the event.

Any specific information that is involved with the case has not been released to the public, and probably never will, now that the state’s top prosecutor and the governor’s office are working in secret with General Assembly leaders on legislation designed to withhold records related to the police investigation of the incident, including victims' photos, tapes of 911 calls, and more.  Even an option to block any statement, made by any minor, was considered.

There have been several violent homicide cases in recent American history, like Sandy Hook, that have made the American people cringe in horror at the level of cruelty, and nearly all these cases had one common denominator; psychiatric drugs.  The website, SSRI Stories, documents numerous violent crimes, and their association with prescription drugs.

Though it seems that psychiatric drugs may play a role in many recent cases of mass murder, the medical history of accused Sandy Hook shooter Adam Lanza is another aspect of the investigation that has not been shared with the public.  The lack of information in regards to Lanza's possible past prescription drug history has not stopped legislators from reforming, and creating new, mental health laws, in response to the Newtown school shooting.  In an article titled, "Medical Examiner Snubs Official Request for Adam Lanza Toxicology Report", journalist Kelly Patricia O’Meara correctly states that legislators "seem hell-bent on legislating increased mental health services without first having all the necessary information to make thoughtful, fact-based decisions."

Connecticut State Senators Toni Boucher (Republican), and Bob Duff (Democrat), were both guests on News 12 Focus on Connecticut, with Tom Appleby (video above), to discuss various state issues, including the Sandy Hook investigation, and the legislation that was passed as a result of the event.

Based on the conduct of these two Senators in this interview, it now seems that Connecticut politicians, who voted in favor of SB-1160, are going into damage control over the public backlash that has occurred as a result of the passing of the bill.  Both Boucher, and Duff, had excuses for why, even though they may have not fully agreed, or understood, the bill, and both agree that the bill will not prevent another Sandy Hook, they still voted for it.

U.S. Rep. Elizabeth Esty Gets Cold, Un-Welcoming Reception At Her First Town Hall Meeting, Addressing Gun Control

Elizabeth Esty, U.S. Representative for Connecticut's 5th congressional district

U.S. Rep. Elizabeth Esty, representing Connecticut's 5th district, held her first town hall meeting Thursday night, at Rotella Magnet School in Waterbury.  She focused on gun violence prevention and recent recommendations from the Congressional Gun Violence Prevention Task Force.  I attended this event, and this is my first-person account of the evening.

If I had to guess, there was about 250-300 people in attendance, and to my surprise, the vast majority (maybe 95%) of the crowd seemed to be PRO-gun, ANTI-gun-control.  Elizabeth Esty is a Democrat, a member of the Congressional Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, and has "played in an instrumental role in developing the group's call for a federal assault weapons ban and universal background checks."  As you can imagine, Esty did NOT receive a warm welcome.

As soon as the floor was opened for questions, a sea of hands were raised, with loads of people all wanting their chance to voice their opinion, criticisms, and/or questions, to the congresswoman.  There was only a couple of people that stood-up to speak, in support of Elizabeth Esty, and her plans to 'prevent gun violence', the rest were against any further 'gun control' efforts.

One man, an opponent of gun control, requested that Rep. Esty look into the crime statistics of other countries that banned guns, implying that those countries crime rates soared, as a result of the ban.  Another man, a father of a young child, stood up to speak out against politicians, like Esty, who view these tragic events as 'opportunities', to push their agenda.

Jim Russel, of We Are Change CT, bringing up "Fast and Furious" at Gun Control debate

A major highlight of the event was when the topic of the discussion switched to "gun trafficking", and Jim Russel, of We Are Change CT, stood up to inform the congresswoman he was fully aware of the illegal federal government gun-trafficking program, known as Fast and Furious, which supplied weapons to Mexican drug cartels.  (video above)  This, like many of the pro-liberty, anti-tyranny speeches throughout the night, was well received.  Another patriot of We Are Change CT, Tevin, defended the second amendment, and posed thought-provoking statements, and questions, to Esty, that ultimately went unanswered. (video below)

Congresswoman Esty has been exploiting the tragedy in Newtown to push her anti-liberty agenda.  Recently, Esty likened the shooting in Newtown, to the events that took place on September 11, 2001, in hopes of using the emotional anguish evoked by the latter tragedy to pull on the heart strings of her constituents.  Esty even created gun-control Valentine cards, to give out to every member of Congress.  The congresswoman had home-made Valentine's Day cards, and teddy bears, delivered to all 435 House members and 100 senators. The T-shirts on the stuffed bears carried the message: “Protect children, not guns.’’

Elizabeth Esty, like most politicians, is a lawyer, and has degrees from both, Harvard, and Yale.  Judging from her wikipedia profile, she has worked in the public sector, sucking the blood of tax-payers, for the majority of her working life.  She was first a state representative, and then was elected last November to her current position of U.S. Representative.

Esty is "pro-choice", and volunteered at Planned Parenthood in her college years.  I can't get past the hypocrisy of this woman, who says she wants gun-control to protect the children, but supports, and volunteers her time at, an organization, Planned Parenthood, that murders 330,000 babies every year, through abortion.

Elizabeth Esty's husband, Daniel C. Esty, also graduated from Harvard, and Yale, as well as studied as a Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford.  Daniel C. Esty is the Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP).  In April 2011 Daniel Esty co-authored an op-ed for the New York Times entitled "Pain at the Pump. We need more". The article advocated higher carbon taxes so as to accelerate technological change.

Both Elizabeth Esty, and her husband, have come from elite, ivy league educational backgrounds, Dan Esty even being awarded a Rhodes scholarship.  Dan Esty also has ties to the Obama administration, as well as having pushed for carbon taxes in the past.  Congresswoman Esty, and her husband, seem to be just another couple of elite, control-freak, psychopaths, looking to get more power and control over the people.

(Sidenote:  Interestingly, after the Newtown shooting, Elizabeth Esty put out a document titled "Tragedy and Hope", and the conspiracy-oriented part of me couldn't help but think about the book "Tragedy and Hope" written by Historian Professor Carroll Quigley, which has attracted the attention of conspiracy theorists due to suggestions in numerous places in the book that a secret society known as the Round Table has had considerable influence of the policies of the British and American governments over the course of the first half of the twentieth century.  It is probably just coincidence that Esty used that title, but then again, her husband IS a Rhodes Scholar.)

Legislators Pushing Forced Medication In Wake of CT School Shooting

Accused CT shooter, Adam Lanza

Politicians are pushing for more 'mental health treatment', in the aftermath of the CT Shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT.  As I had documented last week, the majority of these public mass murders, involve the accused killers either taking, or coming off of, 'psychiatric' drugs.  Regardless of how strong the connection between these prescription drugs, and mass murder, become, our public 'officials' continue to team-up with the mainstream media, who are both heavily financially influenced by pharmaceutical companies, to tell us that even MORE drugs, given out to MORE people, and directing MORE money to the pharmaceutical companies is the direction we should go in.

There is a number of public 'officials' now attempting to push a more aggressive mental health agenda, and here a few examples:

-  South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley said Thursday that the state should be able to "detect it in schools", when speaking on mental health problems.

-  Senator Jay Rockefeller of West Virginia issued a statement on the tragedy in Newtown, CT, saying "there is an incredible shortage of mental health providers across the country...this is yet another area where action is necessary."

-  A coalition of health "experts" have asked the federal government for new funds for mental health programs.   Psychologist Ron Manderscheid, with the National Association of Counties, leads the coalition, and claims "only about a third of the people who actually have a mental illness get any care."

'Gun Owners of America' Is The Leading Organization Supporting the 2nd Amendment in Washington, Not The NRA

After the shooting in Newtown, CT, the NRA, National Rifle Association, released a statement saying "The NRA is prepared to offer meaningful contributions to help make sure this never happens again."  The NRA plans to hold a major news conference on Friday, December 21, and maybe we can learn exactly what they mean by that statement.

The NRA presents itself as one of the leading voices in Washington, fighting infringements on the 2nd amendment, with over 4 million members registered with the organization.  There are some gun-rights advocates that believe the NRA is a fraud, and the organization has been co-opted by the Washington establishment, now giving you the illusion that they are fighting for your 2nd amendment right, but instead having hidden agendas, like doing anything to increase their revenues, which in 2010, reached $228 million.

One gun-rights organization that never seems to compromise is 'Gun Owners of America', an organization that has, in the past, publicly criticized the NRA for 'selling out'.  After the CT shooting, many politicians began calling for gun control legislation, but the NRA has remained silent.  The executive director of Gun Owners of America, Larry Pratt, on the other hand, has chosen to come out and publicly defend the 2nd amendment, with as much zeal as ever.  In a video that is now going viral, Larry Pratt went on the Piers Morgan show on CNN, and completely embarrassed Morgan in a debate, to the point that Morgan resorted to name calling.  (video below)

Newtown, CT School Shooting: Medication, Tragedy, Truth, & Conspiracy

As has been widely reported, on Friday, December 14, a gunman opened fire at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, killing 26 people, including 20 children.  The story has been everywhere, and here at The Goodman Chronicle, I do not write a story if it is just a regurgitation of what has already been reported, so instead of give you a timeline of events, I will cover the story in a way the media is NOT covering it.  I sincerely offer my deepest condolences to everyone involved in this horrible tragedy, made many times worse due to the fact so many young innocent children were involved.

Medication

When friends and neighbors of the shooter, 20 year old Adam Lanza, and his family were interviewed, they recalled Adam as being a genius, and very bright, but "odd", displaying characteristics associated with mental illness, suffering from a personality disorder, needing special help, and being on medication.

This is what I believe the real story behind the shooter should be about, what it was that drove him to this point.  There have been several violent homicide cases in recent American history, that have made the American people cringe in horror at the level of cruelty.  Nearly all these cases had one common denominator; psychiatric drugs.  The website, SSRI Stories, documents numerous violent crimes, and their association with prescription drugs.  Columbine shooter Eric Harris was prescribed Luvox, an antidepressant medication. Andrea Yates, the woman from Texas who drowned her five children in the bathtub, was prescribed multiple psychiatric drugs, including the antidepressant Effexor, which added "homicidal ideation" to the warning label of the drug, after the Yates case.  I can keep going on, but there is a documentary titled, "The Common Denominator - Mass Murder Suicides - Prescription Drugs", that has already done a great job connecting the mass murders of recent past, to prescription drugs, that I suggest everyone watch. (video below)

Why are you not hearing about the prescription drug influence in all of these shootings?  Maybe because so many of the commercials in between television shows and news reports are for prescription drugs.
