Adam Kokesh went on local Washington D.C. news, explaining his open carry march. He was even able to slip in that he hopes "like in Benghazi, Obama will issue the order to stand down".
The look on Juan Williams face, while Kokesh brings up Benghazi, is priceless.
There are many cases where good people, with guns, stop bad people. The mainstream media has such an extreme anti-gun bias, that I feel that my work, and the work of others, like The Media Speaks, to document the many cases where guns are used for good, is vital.
This week brought two new examples of why private gun ownership is necessary. In Madera, California, a pharmacy owner shot a man, who came into his pharmacy and began immediately shooting at the pharmacy owner and his mother, in apparent robbery, murder attempt. (Local News Video Report Below)
In the next report, a Georgia mother was forced to hide, with her children, in an attic crawl space, to try to get away from a home intruder. When the suspect, 32-year-old Paul Slater, continued after the mother and children, the mother shot Slater, seriously wounding him. The Christian Science Monitor reports, "Melinda Herman grabbed a handgun and hid in a crawl space with her two children when a man broke in last week and approached the family at their home northeast of Atlanta, police said. Herman called her husband on the phone, and with him reminding her of the lessons she recently learned at a shooting range, Herman opened fire, seriously wounding the burglary suspect." (Video below)
Here at The Goodman Chronicle, I have been documenting 'guns save lives' examples, and here are a few as of recent:
- 14 year Old Shoots Armed Home Intruder While Baby-Sitting Younger Siblings (link)
- Woman pulling a gun on a man who was exposing himself in the state of Washington (link)
- Twelve year old shooting a home invader in the state of Oklahoma (link)
- In Utah, a citizen with a gun stopped a knife wielding man as he began stabbing people (link)
After the shooting in Newtown, CT, the NRA, National Rifle Association, released a statement saying "The NRA is prepared to offer meaningful contributions to help make sure this never happens again." The NRA plans to hold a major news conference on Friday, December 21, and maybe we can learn exactly what they mean by that statement.
The NRA presents itself as one of the leading voices in Washington, fighting infringements on the 2nd amendment, with over 4 million members registered with the organization. There are some gun-rights advocates that believe the NRA is a fraud, and the organization has been co-opted by the Washington establishment, now giving you the illusion that they are fighting for your 2nd amendment right, but instead having hidden agendas, like doing anything to increase their revenues, which in 2010, reached $228 million.
One gun-rights organization that never seems to compromise is 'Gun Owners of America', an organization that has, in the past, publicly criticized the NRA for 'selling out'. After the CT shooting, many politicians began calling for gun control legislation, but the NRA has remained silent. The executive director of Gun Owners of America, Larry Pratt, on the other hand, has chosen to come out and publicly defend the 2nd amendment, with as much zeal as ever. In a video that is now going viral, Larry Pratt went on the Piers Morgan show on CNN, and completely embarrassed Morgan in a debate, to the point that Morgan resorted to name calling. (video below)
As I continue documenting these cases where guns are used by good people, to stop bad people, I came across this latest case of a fourteen year old boy shooting a home invader, who broke into the home and pointed a gun at the young boy, while he was babysitting his siblings. This took place in early June of this year. Watch the full news clip above.
In yet another case in support of gun ownership and the 2nd amendment, a woman in the state of Washington was walking with her six year old son, when a man approached her "aggressively", sat down, started masturbating, and suggested that the woman watch.
“I put the magazine in my gun. I cocked it,” the woman said in an interview Thursday night. “I said, ‘You need to leave or Ill shoot you. I’m going to blow your brains out.’ ”
“Oh, Shit!” the man declared, before running away.
I have documented other cases where guns have helped good people, in potentially bad situations, like the twelve year old girl in Oklahoma shooting a home invader, with the family gun. I will continue posting and archiving these stories, just to have a contrasting view of what the mainstream media likes to brainwash us into believing about guns.
As the stories of the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy begin to roll in, there are many lessons to be learned from this disaster. On the positive side, there have been numerous accounts of people coming to the aid of their fellow man, and contributing to the relief effort with incredible acts of love and kindness. There is a Facebook page titled "Hurricane Sandy Acts of Kindess", that gives you a glimpse of the grassroots charitable activities taking place.
But there is, of course, also a negative side to every disaster. There are always people that will be trying to take advantage of other people who are in desperation. At every level, from top government officials, down to your average lowlife in the street, crisis is used, by some, as an opportunity to do things they wouldn't normally be able to do, under normal circumstances. Here is a clip of Rahm Emanuel, former President Obama Chief of Staff, saying how "you never want a serious crisis go to waste". While there are already examples of government "officials" using Hurricane Sandy as an excuse to flex their executive muscle, by doing things like shutting down highways, and even implementing martial law, it is the average low-level criminal that seems to be the main concern of the still many east coast residents without electricity.
In yet another case in support of the 2nd amendment a twelve year old shoots a home invader, with the family gun. This won't make the news, nation wide, because the mainstream news has an agenda to make you believe guns are bad. The few cases that guns do hurt good people are taken by the mainstream media and blown out of proportion, ie. Trayvon Martin. I have saved clips from different local news station throughout the country, from this year, with similar cases like this 12 year old, whose lives have been potentially saved because of guns. I plan on compiling a more lengthy report, but here are a couple of examples for now.
