Police Officer Tasers Ten Year Old Boy After Child Refuses To Clean The Officers Car

NBC News reports, "A New Mexico state police officer used his Taser to stun a 10-year-old schoolboy who refused to clean his patrol car, according to a lawsuit filed in Santa Fe County Court by the boy's family."

According to the complaint, "Defendant Webb (Police officer) asked the boy, R.D., in a group of boys, who would like to clean his patrol unit...A number of boys said that they would. R.D., joking, said that he did not want to clean the patrol unit."  The police officer responded by "pointing his Taser at R.D. and saying, 'Let me show you what happens to people who do not listen to the police.'"

The Police officer then shot two barbs into the childs chest, devlivering 50,000 volts into the boy's body.  Instead of calling emergency medical personnel, Officer Webb pulled out the barbs and took the boy to the school principal's office, the complaint states.  The taser caused scarring where the barbs had entered the boy's skin that look like cigarette burns on the boy's chest.

(Here is an RT News video report on this story)

How have we gotten to this point where every police officer is walking around with free reign to use this deadly device on their fellow human beings, electrocuting them?
